How SeniorContact started, and why we built it.
You know, mobile phones are way too complicated… Between the apps, the settings, and that little keyboard, I just can’t manage.
Our grandmother
SeniorContact was born from a real problem in our family.
For relatives, having a parent without a mobile phone can be a real challenge. It creates a gap that isolates them from everyday life.
How do you send a simple reminder to take their medication, let them know the taxi will be there at 6, or share a photo from the day?
We faced this in our own family. Unable to find something that truly worked for both seniors and their relatives, we decided to build an app ourselves.
From the start, we tested everything with our Nonna. She had never used a smartphone or a tablet, so she was the perfect person to guide us and tell us when something was not simple enough.

Designed, built and run in Switzerland .
By combining Max’s work in software development with Marc’s experience as an entrepreneur, SeniorContact was born.
Today, Max’s sister also works with us on marketing and sales. Together, we keep running SeniorContact as a family project.
What started as a tool for our own family is now used by many others. We still try not to add unnecessary features that would make the app more complicated for seniors.
For us, SeniorContact remains more than an app. It is a way to stay close to our seniors, without the technology getting in the way.

The idea for SeniorContact
That is when the idea took shape: a simpler way for seniors and their families to stay in touch.
15 February 2025
Release on iOS
After a lot of hard work, SeniorContact finally became available on the App Store.
5 June 2025
Release on Android
A few months later, we released the Android version on Google Play, so more families could use it.
10 February 2026
Enterprise solution
We launched a version for companies and organizations that support seniors.
